You can just use sun's nuclear reactor and harvest it with solar panels.

The only problem with that is you need to live in an area with lots of days of sun (like Arizona) and when the sun isn't out you need lots of battery storage to keep running at night.

Source - I own a house that is off grid and solar powered - with a backup generator.. 😉

It's much simpler than that if you don't try to mine 24x7.

If you already have a solar installation, mine with your surplus energy. 🫂

Very solid points. I know I would NOT be trying to mine off grid 24/7…. 🙃

You would also need a solar panel the size of a house so power an S9

What?

You can power an S9 from just 100W and increase it whenever more power is available.

Using another firmware as for example:

https://braiins.com/os/plus

ok, cool. But for some reason I think when Will was wishing for a small nuclear reactor he was hoping for more than 100 watts.

So what?

Solar is more scalable than any other energy source (provided the place).

You can produce from 400Wp upward.

You can not do that with nuclear.

Actually, those 'small and portable nuclear reactors' don't even exist (yet).

And solar exists right now.
