strongly agree, as you are "using" bitcoin even if you dont pay everyday with it, you are "using" nostr even when you are away from clients. You store your npup and decide how to engage on your own terms, this is freedom.

I feel that internet-social-activity on my phone have such a bad impact in my life in general, absorbing me too much sometimes.

I can delete clients from my phone and use only desktop clients for example, or just stay away as much as I want storing my key, knowing that when I'll decide to sign new events I will be able to do than.

There are not platform-decision, algorithm changes, client-lockdowns (like telegram where I need the app installed on my phone if I want to use a desktop client..). When I'll return, things will be only better and noone have the power to screw my identity or change the platform.

This is what I consider owning my identity.
