Voting is pointless anyways. It's an illusion that "Your vote matters"...
Powerful people spend huge sums of money to get the election results they want. Voting matters.

You just answered why voting is the least effective way of influencing the result. You are better of a influencing the result of a vote by playing the game. The most effective ways are to either have a voice that a listens to, or as you ilude to using lobbyists and donations to own politicians and get your guy elected
