I have always thought that losing follows was a non-issue until I realized I had lost more than half of my follow list.

After losing half of my follow list I used https://follows.nostr.com/ to recover it and now I am happy.

I would take a blame on client that rely to store & fetch follow list entirely on relay.

Especially the fact that it does not completely store locally.

How was the follow list lost?

I am not sure, but I think it was caused by Amethyst since that was the only app I used once some weeks ago that I don't normally use.
