My son seems quite capable for his age, he's alreaddy rolling and he's only 24 days old! But I think he'll need to learn a few things, like lifting his head, taking, and writing, at the very least, before he starts using social media 😅

That’s a good start! I have a 10 and 7y/o and some of their friends are already being used by socials. Nostr will be matured when your children are ready to use it.

I grew up in Sweden and they had some social media platform my neighbor got on (possibly before Myspace was a thing) but already then was it a weird place and those who said they were kids like us (around 10) could just as easily be adults. I do appreciate that Nostr is mostly adults, and no one needs to identify themselves if they don't want to, because that could remove some of the predators as they wouldn't know as easily who to seek out.

Using Nostr with supervision in the beginning means we can train our kids to mute anyone we don't want to hear from. It's actually empowering!

Some parents train their kids in submission, so when they're teens keep adults, they feel uncomfortable saying no to things they're uncomfortable with.
