NEW - Accelerating Ocean Conservation: The 2025 Blue Park Awards

Blue Park Awards promote and celebrate marine protected area (MPA) quality achievement alongside MPA coverage. The Awards incentivize governments and communities to meet the rigorous science-based Blue Park Standard for conservation effectiveness and accelerate effective MPA coverage, supporting the Global Biodiversity Framework 30x30 target.

Marine Conservation Institute, together with the Republic of Costa Rica, the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People, EarthEcho International, MigraMar, and The Blue Quest, will host the 2025 Blue Park Awards event in the Blue Zone of the United Nations Ocean Conference.
