So I’m thinking of buying a retreat center in the redwoods of Northern California that supports about 50 people in a rustic setting.

It’s pretty badass. 8 cabins, riverside, large hot tub, 3 saunas, swimming pond on about +200 acres. It’s expensive and would take a few years to get cashflow positive, but I could do it.

I think it would be a great spot to do various workshops on self-sovereignty, and get brilliant people together to teach, learn, and collaborate together. Only problem is I have no fucking clue what I am doing or how to run something like this. I feel confident I could figure it out, I just know it’ll be a lot of work, administration, and management the first several years.

But with that being said, I guess get busy living or get busy dying.

Northern California has CWD which could jump to humans someday. Survivalists who understand this need to be focused on building up isolation and quarantine systems for a breakaway society. Maine would be a better location to start based on current data.
