murdering usually requires a fair bit of physical strength and all, and tends to be also related to bad temper in addition to being a psychopath.
I agree with the bad tempers and physiological. When men murder it's due to a feeling of of no value. Women tend to kill to protect their children, which is usually only one threat, their husband.

most murders involve the level of physical strength possessed by the average 20-40 year old male. guns are not the most common, i believe knives and bats are the most common way murder is done.
yes, in USA, firearms are the most common method, but elsewhere:

of course, the highest rates of homicide are in the USA, and they are 54% done by firearms.
i don't of course believe that this has anything to do with availability of weapons, because the murder rates that make USA the top place to get killed by murder are the ones with the most tight control of weapons laws.
