Respect their humanity but we should not be respecting sin... Haven't read the full details on it but was quite puzzling when I first heard about it
Yes, their souls could still be saved. But if you just “accept them” without any effort to reform them, then they won’t be saved. It might be that you’ve contributed to their perdition.
