It will be worth it.
You can run StartOS on some of the commonly available mini PCs which will give basically the same functionality at a much cheaper price. Not as simple to set up though and you need to do some research to figure out which hardware to buy.
Set up can be technical, but umbrellas provides the best experience imo, and for the longest too
