Under a fiat standard where money can be printed at the discretion of a 12 member board, how does one know if prices are rising or if the currency is being debased?

Bitcoin eliminates that guesswork (once mass adoption is reached) due to the finite supply.

I don't see how Bitcoin has anything to do with bankruptcy laws or otherwise either. Sigh.
