Agreed. For the normie-verse … .com still runs things.
… but … with all the AI LLMs & MCP integrations… my theory is we’re moving back to the “I know a guy” way of doing business.
My thesis is… build up a collection of service based profiles & grow their reputation & value in the public convo.
Not sure how long it’ll take for llms to take google’s crown but looks like we’re close. Online search will be replaced by users’ own custom trained and personalized models. And your thesis is correct! Building in public is the best way to grow reputation and engage with potential customers.
