Such a beautiful indonesian music. Despite not being an indonesian, i could understand this song. Why? Because our language are mutually tangible. But nationalist on both country tries to split that. While acknowledging the sovereignity of all ASEAN states, it should not come at an expenses of breaking the heritage bond we have had. What is the big deal between having ownership over nasi lemak vs nasi uduk? Or heritage rights over batik terengganu vs batik jawa? Our previous colonial masters (british, netherlands and the USA) have split us and chained us with unreasonable nationalist ideology. Unfortunately we were never free despite our independence. We still fight over borders artificially created by them.

Granted, the past is past, and the lines have been drawn. But we can still stand in arms as ASEAN brothers and sisters
