Hi nostr, hope yall had a good day, wherever you are in the world. I got a few more things packed up in my kitchen decluttering project, so made some headway with that. We went into town for some errands earlier, then kinda goofed off, visiting our little coffee shop and driving around for a while. I've been thinking about rendering some beef fat to make my own tallow. When we got our half cow order, we asked for the fat, so there's alot in the freezer that I want to make use of. I've never done it before, and i watched a few vids, and it doesnt look too complicated. I got a sample of tallow from the butcher that processed our half cow, and i love the stuff, so i think its time for me to learn another little skill, so as to not waste all that fat.

So thats it for today, time to rest up. Yall have a good evening nostr friends.

what a quote.

You can do it.

Tallow is not hard to make and is a great way to keep shelf stable fat on hand.

Arguably the best way to cook potatoes.

Yes i've heard lots of good things about cooking taters with it.😊
