Why am I seeing in my #nostr / #damus timeline notes from people I don’t follow and are not shared by people I follow? How to can I prevent this from happening?

They are probably using # that you follow.

That’s probably the reason. I didn’t know that notes from followed tags ware mixed up with my main timeline. Following tags doesn’t seem really useful if we can’t isolate this content.

Yeah and the spammers know this and throw in 20 # and it pops up in everyone's feed.
