Y'all hate the social media lingo of follows and followers, so y'all be like, let's call them connections. π€
What is half a connection called? A plug and a socket? Who gets to be which end? π
Follow/follower allows for completely independent connection, like reader/author, but isn't limited to long text.

anyhow it's more like a subscription, client sees your list and says "user wants stuff from these"
Itβs just a label. Not sure why people care too much.
People that care about the label are probably just insecure that their follower count is low.
They don't yet have enough followers that they get to pretend like follower count doesn't matter. π
I'm still in that happy medium where I'm grateful for each one because I got stuff to say and they're the only reason anyone hears me say it.
