Bitcoin accounts and Nostr are exactly the same thing. One just has an npub prefix, and the other has a tb prefix. But that is for DISPLAY purposes only. This being the case, nostr has best-in-class property rights via the bitcoin block chain. Nobody is using this yet. But when activated, it is a super power.

So are you saying npubs can receive Bitcoin??

Yes, of course

How come this isn’t being used or widely known??

I dont know. It's been central to the protocol since the beginning. I think the main focus is to reach feature parity with twitter, right now.

I've been freaking out about this for a few days now.

I think the wallet supports liquid, and I saw nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm going around asking people about liquid zaps.
