Community burnout. It’s been happening for a few years at least - not just with me but everyone I’ve spoken to prior to coming to nostr.

Clearly Reddit is still a thing, but if I had to guess it’s probably on the decline. But id be curious to see actual user numbers in Reddit (they might be up since people are pushed to the app to create an account) but id wager overall activity is down.

Communities require a lot of work to bootstrap - the hardest thing to do like a marketplace.
