The Hysteria teaches that young adults have no brain power
and can be easily brainwashed by anyone older than them.
There's not a shred of evidence to support that nonsense,
but people choose to believe it.

It's sad to me how right this is. If you look at toddlers, there's a lot they shouldn't get into but there's still plenty to empower them and have them help parents or family members with. Simple tasks that empower them.
To raise kids otherwise is to seriously stunt their ability to handle "real life" down the road.
