Could be or may just be client support. I remember Damus didn’t support webp images until Will added support months ago.
Webp was added a year ago. Webm would be a great add
Yea I remembered it was added at some point. Interesting that none of the iOS clients I’ve tried so far support webm. Is it just not a popular media format?

Very few, but it would be good if Damus could play them (not required though, since I am planning on transcoding them into widely used format)
Agree. Its in backlog. Setting expectation not a today priority https://github.com/damus-io/damus/issues/2090
