Why their own fork ? I think it is more about some safety against law actions in case that that would happen

Well it is theoretical possible, maybe they dont understand everything 100%. But if i would be in america where you can be sued for everything maximum stupid i would save me up against selling to big companies with the promise of 21 million coins if theoretical it could be changed. If not mentioned somewhere they could be sued by a lot of companies etc. Even if it is very unlikely to happen.
