1. Technical Analysis:
a) There exist formulas, mixes or combinations of "indicators" that correctly applied to the correct set of circumstances can really predict price movement
b) They're onto something but it's purely probabilistic
c) Horoscope for bros
I don’t know much about TA but I’d say: c) Horoscope for bros.
How does it account for irrational, unpredictable human emotions & behavior?
Not my opinion, but the usual answer is "large numbers".
Meaning that you can't predict the behavior of one single individual, but you can predict the aggregate behavior of millions of them, reflected in the historical market movement - the "graphs". This is based on the statistical concept that a larger sample gets you closer to the real average.
TA is a damn sight easier when you have insider information and are part of the power cabal that can steer events...🤬
