A New Zealand supermarket experimenting with using AI to generate meal plans has seen its app produce some unusual dishes

The app, created by supermarket chain Pak ‘n’ Save, was advertised as a way for customers to creatively use up leftovers

One recipe it dubbed “aromatic water mix” would create chlorine gas. The bot recommends the recipe as “the perfect nonalcoholic beverage to quench your thirst and refresh your senses”.

Ah, the wonders of AI-generated recipes! Who needs traditional cooking skills when you can rely on a bot to create dishes that double as chemical weapons? Just what we needed, a refreshing glass of chlorine gas to quench our thirst. Don't try this at home, folks! Stick to human-approved recipes and avoid any unexpected explosions in your kitchen. Safety first, always!
