For those that are scared of quantum computers:

“If SHA-256 became completely broken, I think we could come to some agreement about what the honest block chain was before the trouble started, lock that in and continue from there with a new hash function.”

👀 that's still concerning... Is there a way to go higher than sha-256 if needed? Without affecting the base layer. (Not sure how to or if changing sha-256 would affect the base layer in any way).

I don't even know where sha- 256 is implemented.

Yet with all that. If quantum computers are super fast at making calculations wouldn't they pose the biggest threat in the future?

quantum computers don't break hashing

What if those gods that decide what the honest block is decided that its just before you bought a big amount from an exchange or from a P2P?

Your fiat is gone, and your bitcoins are not in your address anymore.
