funny timing i just made this:

https://github.com/Hubmakerlabs/replicatr/tree/main/cmd/ingestr

this will pull your events from one relay back to a specified date and publish them to another relay (did this to populate my test relay) and after it's finished it will print out how many events it found

i did it with the following parameters

ingestr wss://nostr.wine wss://relay.mleku.online -k 1 2 3 4 6 7 16 1059 1060 1063 1985 9735 10002 10003 10005 10000 -l 1000 --since 1700787734

but if you leave out the --since it will grab every event except for nostr:nprofile1qyd8wumn8ghj7urewfsk66ty9enxjct5dfskvtnrdakj7qgmwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8wetnw3jhymnzw33jucm0d5hszxthwden5te0wfjkccte9ekkcettw5hx7mnvd9hx2tcqyqalp33lewf5vdq847t6te0wvnags0gs0mu72kz8938tn24wlfze66qnzkp 's very first "running branle" event - it might take a bit longer to start finding events, it queries for hour periods and will pull up to 1000 per hour period, took about half an hour to grab all my posts off nostr.wine and push them to the relay, and now there is around 7400 events in my database, which i can then export to line-separated json and back it up

would be cool to make it more user friendly but it's not a priority for my current work

ah yeah, and so, including notes i posted and events that refer to my public key there is about 9.3Mb

it's nice statistics if you build something based on this code you could graph post frequency and discover social graphs and whatnot, and also to know how much one user generates in a 2 month period, so per user about equal to creating one bitcoin block, i'd say, probably is about typical - 1-4mb/month

Thank you sir! I know you mean well, but I'm rather challenged. If I knew how to read this stuff I'd be working at NASA. 🙈
