Immunity-boosting Kadha: An Ayurvedic Remedy for the Rona, Cold and Flu Season

This traditional Indian medicinal tea combines potent herbs and spices to boost immunity and fight respiratory infections. It's a time-tested Ayurvedic remedy that works against coughs, colds, and seasonal flu.
Ingredients:
- 5-6 Tulsi leaves
- 1 Black or 2 green cardamom pods
- 1/2 cup sliced raw turmeric
- 1 tablespoon cloves
- 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5-6 tablespoons sliced ginger
- 1 tablespoon munakka (large black raisins; regular raisins can substitute)
Instructions:
1. Wash and peel turmeric and ginger
2. Coarsely pound them in mortar and pestle
3. Boil in 4 cups water until yellow and fragrant (5-6 minutes on medium heat)
4. Add remaining ingredients
5. Simmer 15-20 minutes
6. Strain into cups, add 1 teaspoon honey per cup
7. Serve warm
Note: Water reduces while cooking. Add more water to taste.
