While I support the fact that everyone has their own needs and opinions and their own ways. I’m getting kinda frustrated about the fact that I just can’t seem to find one straightforward way to set up my new #jade wallet.

Like, if you wanna use it with blockstream green? Here you go.

Want to use it airgapped and with sparrow? There you go!

Want to use an extra seedsigner of whatsoever? Here, got you covered!

Everyone has their own ways, and safety precautions, I can get that, but come on.

I stumbled across nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 yesterday, and I feel like I’m gonna find what I need over there.

But really, I thought is was gonna be easier 😅

It’s annoying isn’t it? And people try to push self custody on brand new bitcoiners. It’s one of the most important things to do but it’s too complicated for many

It is important indeed. Sure. But does it have to be so complex? IDK. I mean, sure, you have to be safe out there, and it’s interesting stuff to learn. But come on 😂

I’m gonna try and learn more about Sparrow now.

But honestly, why would I. Don’t these wallet manufacturers make sure their products are safe and easy to use anyways?

Because if you are gonna build a chair or something from IKEA, you should also read the manual if you want good results.

I think this is way less time consuming then putting together a product from IKEA.

And I do understand, Bitcoin is new to many people, the documentation is either maybe too technical or crap, there are many providers and etc. It is difficult.

Which is why it is good to add the asknostr hashtag maybe others also use jade and know how to set up things.

Yeah sure. I’m sure I’ll be happy when I’m all set and done. It’ll be an achievement! Some kind of a level up or smth. But for now, I’m getting frustrated haha
