F-droid believes our terms of use (basically you can't use the app to upload illegal content) conflicts with the open source license. We think terms of use and code license are two are different issues: an app can be fully open source while having terms of use to comply with distribution laws and regulations
Then why not remove that terms of use from the F-Droid version? I'm with F-Droid on that one. You can't tell the recipient what to do with his open source product. Terms of use do not apply to FOSS.
If in some fringe country you had to sell your hammer with a booklet of things the buyer may not smack with this tool, would you add that list when selling your hammer in other countries?
I am not comfortable in removing them in any version. If somebody wants to take the liability, feel free to fork and ship without it.
