From back in the days when physical fiat had some real value.

Back then they also had style in the fiat shit. Bitcoin can't compete there, I'm afraid. ;)

Can you still use them to pay or is it old money?

Well, it's not legal tender anymore in Sweden. But given it's 80% silver, I'd say it's still better money than the current currency.

Fun fact is that all commerstive coins, such as the one in the photo, still is legal tender as per Riksbank website. Shops can, however, choose to not include that method in their offer. So kinda pointless, i suppose. Typical fiat, eh.

That‘s exactly what I was going to say next…might have more value then your current currency xD

Yup.

There's a good reason no fiat contains any silver anymore - the nominal value has zero chances against the silver price.

Hungary actually had silver in some circulation coins 92-94 to show their commitment to defend the value of their forint.

Well, then it went bananas like always, they stopped using silver and the forint is rushing to zero in real terms. Like all fiats.

Fyi: the nominal value of the two coins above is 4 SEK. The silver value of them is around 190-200 SEK today.
