Yes, it is a situation that could make you nuts, if you develop something or have an idea of something, and the world is not ready yet. Later on someone comes out with it and the world love it.

When I was 14 or 15 my school friend got from his father money to buy himself a TV. I never had one, I was not allowed to watch much TV.
So he asked me to go with him to the store to get one. The salesman ask us what kind of TV we want. Keep in mind, this was in the 1980's.
So I told him: one of those flat ones, the one you can hang up on the wall like a picture.
The salesman replied: something like this does not exist. How should this be possible and work?
Me: With LED technology, that simple.
Salesman laughing and saying: you are crazy, that don't exist and never will.
.... Keep also in mind that we just had in school the LED technology, we had to do a stoplight with 3 LED (red, Yello , Green) and a DOS program to control those LED on the intersection. So I thought TV also work with LED and this is the future. The Led was more simple in my head than that way it used to work at that time.
