On iPhone I use the camera roll to scan QR codes by pressing on them.
I see some native androids have it in the camera/gallery apps. Not in my default ones. I'll probably got to use separate qr reader app for these.
In any case, I shared the token as a QR code (not text) because I’m 99% sure there’s an active bot that grabs all text tokens before anyone can redeem them.
please describe what a "text token" is, to a "layman"
It's an ecash. Text cash.
Basically a bill, whoever comes first to claim it, can add it (receive it) to their ecash wallet.
1 ecash = 1 sat. Ecash is fully private and free to transact. But it is custodial, so sooner or later, you want to convert them back to sats on lightning.
