Brazil will mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for babies as young as 6 months old

The Brazilian government, through the Ministry of Health, has added the mRNA vaccine against Covid-19 to the country's National Immunization Program (PNI ) for children aged six months to five years

As reported by Agência Brasil, the new regulation will come into force in 2024 and will require at least three doses of the vaccine

Approved on November 29 by the Social Affairs Commission of the Senate, bill N. 826 is currently being analyzed by the Education Commission.

Not vaccinating children will result in fines and loss of social benefits for their families.
