I’m really considering buying a piece of cheap land that isn’t grid available and using the savings on the parcel to set up a fat solar array. Then using some of the extra energy to mine and repurposing the heat. It doesn’t seem like a hard system to build.

In my case my fiat job which I still need thends to be in cities and I'm not yet remote. Land closet to a city is very expensive. I do have the same long term idea though. Starlink, off grid solar, dig a well, live my life.
