I'm with Churchill. Democracy is terribly flawed, but better than the alternatives.
It does attract liars, but the real shocker is how many people believe clear liars. How TF did anyone ever vote for Trump. Or a party lead by Boris Johnson.
There’s definitely an argument to be made that tyranny of the majority is the least worst system. I’m willing to hear it. I’m not sure how anyone votes for Trump, or Trudeau, or Macron – it’s not a discussion worth having considering none of those figures were freely elected.
I completely reject the idea that you’re not allowed to criticize something without having something to replace it lined up and ready to go.
