Stem cells don't have to be from aborted embryos, or embryos at all. Adult cells can be converted, as well as cells from the umbilical chord when it is cut. Of course the cure to Alzheimers is probably in diet and exercise....
I agree with you on the guns point though, people still get shot or run over or stabbed all over the world in countries with and without guns.
