The Australian psyche IMO isn’t assertive enough, the “She’ll be right mate” attitude is our downfall. Just look at how hard the average Australian bent over for daddy government during covid. We don’t have an origin story of rebellion like the founding fathers, our origin story is we came here as convicts. The NPC runs deep here.

Yeah my sense is that it can’t be saved. There’s no real mechanism by which to fight back when you can be put in prison for sharing unpopular views.

I’m not sure if nostr:nprofile1qqsgk539zq9ercdt86rv5r3qnzarmsyca4gnuc7d728p5cq05q9xkrg2e27cf is referring to a law like UK that prohibits mean words against lbgq+ (or whatever they are), but wouldn’t be surprised. Nevermind the lack of mechanism to fight back (which you are right), I just don’t think we even have the critical mass of non NPCs required to actually stand against the regime.
