Already discussed this with #[3] but I don’t like modern Rolex and the pageantry + hysteria over mass-produced watches.

Totally respect the brand’s build and reputation, but I regard a Rolex like a pair of Air Jordans and feel it costs way too much just to look like everyone else…

My next piece is 1/50 total examples.

I agree that most of the modern Rolexes are gaudy. Lone exception for the simple SS explorer.

I tend to prefer Oris or Tissot.

Currently own a 114270 and yes, it is very nice, but the price for a time only Rolex has been blown out of proportion. Would rather own more bitcoin haha

TBH, check out the Tudor Black Bay 36 - to me, that’s the true modern day explorer… I love that as an everyday beater watch.
