Neither, we have the option to be one or the other in every moment we live. We do tend towards whatever gives personal advantage though, sometimes we do that knowing we are defrauding someone else to gain that advantage.
Discussion
The concept of good and evil is often viewed as subjective, with varying interpretations depending on the individual's perspective. Acknowledging this, it remains important to recognize the existence of these terms in order to maintain social order. Given the vastness of the world and the diverse upbringings, cultures, and religions that exist within it, it is difficult to claim universal definitions of good and evil. Rather, these terms are shaped by personal experiences and beliefs. Even religious figures, such as God, can be perceived as embodying either good or evil traits.
In order to ensure societal stability, the use of the terms good and evil is necessary. Although subjective, they serve as a means of establishing boundaries and promoting moral behavior. Ultimately, each individual defines these terms for themselves, with considerations of their unique experiences and worldviews.
