As a generalist, I feel validated🤓

And excited to call myself a part of this "second Renaissance"

I spent years working in academia, researching and teaching broadly across the humanities. Many of my colleagues scoffed at me: WHY couldn't I focus on a single historical timeframe? Or worse, WHY wouldn't I silo myself into a performative politics around the ideas I was interested in learning about?

5 years ago everything started to shift, and after exiting academia I dove deep into homeschool education, community building, and content marketing. My wide-ranging curiosity and passion for learning has landed me in the world of entrepreneurship, working with clients whose values align with my own:

🤝In our passion for innovative solutions to re-imagingng broken systems

🤝In our dedication to building new paradigms in education, health, and wellness

🤝In our recognition that the future will be forged in freedom and connection, not orthodoxy, apathy, or polarization

It's all inspired me to put my "traditional" skills to use in new ways - my decades of experience in research, writing, and editing now fuels something that feels much more purposeful, urgent, and authentic.

I'm so grateful to be working - and thinking, and living! - in a much more sovereign space.

If you're also attracted by "all the shiny things," this post is worth a read.

And if you've found ways to funnel your own wide-ranging interests into a viable business or career, drop a comment or a link to your biz - I'd love to hear more about you!
