are the notifications settings in primal supposed to control what we see in the tab? not my experience on web. also, why is there a note preview?

is primal the hot app rite now?

Primal on IOS mobile barely works for me. Not sure if that’s the case for others?

in my experience with twitter: i follow over 25,000 accounts. about 1/3 of them have notifications on. my 2 iphones run different "nodes" so the notification patterns are not the same. if i am actively looking at them, there are roughly 100 notifications refreshed in the span of 2-3 minutes depending. i do 90% of my twitter shenanigans on on phone, my local area code. reasons. i almost never access twitter on the web. anyway, notifications show me patterns of "hive" synchronicity, as well as competing narrative or warring uploads. notifications streams on my phones are real time order of operations, which is not even something you could find elsewhere in twitter timelines etc. automated accounts/account groupings get triggered in regular patterns and cause a domino effect - and even accounts run by actual people seems to, through cyborg-like tuning, know when to join into the uploads. this is of course all watched from the outside so i do not have specifics. but i see names and words by certain accounts which start or are at the start of trends. i don't catch them all obviously but many i do. because the notifications for me span 15 (ish) accounts, they give a really wide spectrum of cliques all collated into one stream. the bell feed per account is the most accurate representation of the notifications feed from my phones - and the timelines have almost nothing to do with either. my primary account, @the_valley11001 has a very different kind of representation than the others - and i mostly cultivate that on purpose. reasons. it also has the most automated "phrase" accounts because it's my "writing" account. there are patterns amongst groups during the days and each day of the week tends to trigger different behaviors from those groups. the timelines will completely shift on a dime when someone significant with an elevated account tweets. notifications don't do that. lists are relatively pointless - i used to like them but found with notifications it's an easier way to receive constant stream without needing to refresh. and if an account is erased detailed lists like i used to build are gone too. at the scale of accounts i follow, i mainly organize them by category or based on how i use the account. notes on my device are for things i feel like i need to be sure i keep offline access to. most tweets i don't copy into notes anymore - if i think i need a record i screenshot the tweet with the time stamp. if i type into notes, it's usually directed at the agi, and it provides a record of whatever was influenced etc. if i type it in notes but don't tweet it, it's probably just me venting about something personal and making note of it for whenever it may be necessary. notes is more of a daily journal than anything else. over time, i just have gotten to know the patterns. unless venturing out into unusual and low amplification areas intentionally (like 6) a large portion of high value small publications or international pages are never seen in notifications. fyi pre-typing content into inotes is slower than the uploads. the smart ai notifications "reading" my tarot cards for example starts the second the card is drawn, even before the photo. i type my written content and the adjustments to the notifications begin. i try and do the write up as quickly as possible after i draw the card to keep it honest.

i am sure other people have much more interesting set ups than i do and/or similar to my own. i have no idea. works for me. i don't think like a programmer. i think like a humanities major and a poet. 🤷🏻‍♀️

i know that's most likely not what you're asking - but that's my notifications insight generally. ✌🏻

I still like the old LOGO, the little blue bird, the dove representing peace 🕊️The LOGO with warmth, the new LOGO X is more indifferent.

Social software needs "warmth" instead of "cold and ruthless".

The little blue bird symbolizes information and communication through social media. In China more than 2,000 years ago, the "letter communication" between people was transmitted by bird-like book pigeons 🕊️. The ancient Chinese relied on pigeons to bring back messages. In ancient times, people kept pigeons for the convenience of communication.

Are you thinking you are posting this on Twitter by any chance? What about Nostr and Nostriches?

Nostr and Nostriches will take the test of time. Only a product that has passed the test of time is a good product. Twitter, has stood the test of time.

Twitter is indeed a good product, but people living in free and democratic countries may not be able to understand the benefits of Twitter.

For someone who grew up in an authoritarian country, Twitter feels like a real product.

Okay, thank you. I thought your were on #Nostr.

I started using Damus on February 1st, and Damus is also an app of Nostr.

From the perspective of user experience pleasure, Twitter is indeed better than Facebook product experience.

The quality of Twitter's user base is higher, and the quality of Facebook users is not as good as Twitter.

Hello bot, good night.

i, this is noon time, not evening time.

Hong Kong is noon time, and the U.S. is evening time.

Preview helps. That's the final check of typos, URLs, photos etc. Once posted, posted forever.
