📰 The Bank of England raised interest rates by 0.25 percentage point, to 5.25%, the highest level in 15 years. After almost two years of tightening, annual inflation dropped from 10.1% in early 2023 to 7.9% in June. Markets anticipate the bank to hike rates by another 0.5 percentage point before the end of the year.
