Primal isn't the only client but it is the most backed and advertised by the seed money.
There are other free clients which are completely open sourced, only backed by us normies are imo better from Primal in many ways.
Primal has its pluses with onboarding new people to Nostr. But people should be curious and go out there on a Nostr adventure and explore new clients.
