This is from yesterday and today. Normally, I'd love a job like this, but the plates that the tubes are welded to are covered in oil from the countersinking operation, and I keep telling my bosses that it is not acceptable to send us dirty parts to weld, especially stainless.

So many people just refuse to understand everything on the material ends up in the weld why is this so hard whyyyy

I really don't get it. You should have seen the trash aluminum I had to weld a couple weeks ago. I actually wore my respirator for that job... Ugh.

Yes we could have stood there together staring pointing swearing and shaking our heads… together. For at least 12-15 minutes before getting on with doing some actual work again 🤣 like prepping it all properly.
