I like the examples he gives in the first half it's an interesting point that I've never heard before

but the second half where he talks about the "new breed" just sounds like wishful thinking, and he notably doesn't provide any examples...

He talks about a parallel universe growing in the shadows, open-source developers/creatora building in public and breaking the rules of victory and monetisation by providing value. However, it's true that he doesn't provide any examples or mention any projects.

I see the open source trend he is talking about but I don't see it making any money. he says its "winning" but its hard to say that in comparison to the millions of dollars that the traditional (exploitative) system makes
