Since I'm new here I'll start at the beginning. For context: After a major and unexpected life change I found myself moving from a house I had once shared with someone to a tiny apartment above a weed dispensary. And for the first time in my adult life, I was completely alone. I had a decent job luckily, so in that regard I was ok, but that didn't help with what the doctors called "severe depression."

My boss at the time was an awful drunk that had recently aquired his 7th drunk driving and was well on his way to the 8th. I was thinking about him and his wife and how some aspects of our lives paralleled as I picked up my guitar and wrote this song.

I hadn't written anything in about a decade and this song opened the floodgates leading to hundreds more. Each lyric giving me a chance to squeeze a little pain out of my mind and into the world to be chewed up by anyone listening. Music has quite literally saved me.
