The origin of the word hysteria is from 100 years before Aristotle declared that the purpose of the brain was to cool the blood.

So a closer approximation today would be "stupid old men were sexist"

I'm gonna side with Aristotle on this one

There are certainly some who aren't using it for anything else but it isn't everyone.
