Germany will decide whether or not to approve new weapons shipments to Israel based on an assessment of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul says in an interview with the Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) politician said Israel must be able to defend itself “even with German weapons systems” against external threats, such as those from Yemen, Hezbollah, or Iran.
