I successfully participated in #MarchOffTwitter and now have very little incentive to go back. I still have a slight case of FOMO once in a while but I seem to have broken the addiction and replaced it (to a lesser extent) with Nostr.

Yeah - I think I've been transformed into a Twitter lurker.
I'll consume content but any thoughts or insight will be reserved for Nostr. I'll abstain from encouraging tweets with likes or interaction.
I know this won't even be noticed by tweeters, but it's more about me than them.
I didn't even lurk in March...that was the hardest part but I quickly got used to it. I still do feel like I'll be sucked in a bit but it will definitely never be the same or at the same levels I was at before. In all fairness, though, at this time, there are things that I can get from twitter that I can't here but that is quickly changing. Twitter is becoming irrelevant more and more quickly!
Keep 🏃 this 🟠🟣.
💪🤙
Even more distasteful now that all the secrets of the petty algorithm have been revealed. I will probably be an occasional lurker but I'm hoping that I will prefer to spend that time here.
I think there is some quality content there, but I have decided to get that on my RSS Feed from the start instead of engaging with it in-app.
I deactivated twitter.
That's some next-level dedication!
I may have been easier for me. I was just using twitter for info instead of going to multiple websites & getting their emails.
Twiter is still censored. Nostr is so much better for free speech. ✌️
I completely agree. Nostr is much better for so many reasons. I have over 5K followers on the bird site so it's a bit hard to let go. I also do get a lot of info about things that are not here yet. Everything in its due time.
Yeah, it will just take some time for more ppl to migrate over.
