Gave a 6 year old some paper, paint brushes, water color, and unlimited time. What I’m most impressed with was his focus because he had the autonomy over the outcome.

Of course kids need guidance, healthy examples, structure, etc … but without allowing autonomy, kids are never going to develop confidence, time to explore their interest, critical, thinking skills and so much more.
