What is backing #bitcoin ?
Nothing. Bitcoin is the ‘thing’ that is doing the backing just as gold is the thing.
Both are portable, durable, recognizable, divisible, fungible & scarce. Bitcoin is also transmissible.
In essence gold and BTC are money, not currency.
